Sr No Projects Discription
1. At the core of the safe cities for women movement is the belief that poorly planned cities restrict women’s and girls’ access to basic facilities, including healthcare and sanitation and recreation facilities. Thus, as a result, women and girls are excluded from various aspects of city life and do not have the same rights to cities as men. As we move toward the goal of creating gender inclusive cities, we must recognise the new realities women the world over are facing in relation to the nature of our cities. “She-Lounge” is a new facility which is used by women of all age groups; (feeding area, waiting area with seats for old age and teenagers, clean toilets to use.) This is a safe, convenient, pleasing and barrier free facility which will change the conception of public toilets.
